Based on the tropospheric data and meteorologic data of 36 stations provided by IGS in 2003, we evaluate the correction precision of Hopfield model, Saastamoinen model widely used at home and abroad at present and EGNOS model developed in recent years. The limitation of Hopfield model is pointed out.

This work also demonstrated using a ray-tracing technique along with Traditional tropospheric delay models such as Hopfield model, Saastamoinen model, and Black model can achieve centimeter‐level accuracy when applying accurate measured meteorological observations (Black, 1978; Hopfield, 1969, 1971; Saastamoinen, 1972). A Hopfield network (or Ising model of a neural network or Ising–Lenz–Little model) is a form of recurrent artificial neural network popularized by John Hopfield in 1982, but described earlier by Little in 1974 based on Ernst Ising's work with Wilhelm Lenz. Hopfield networks serve as content-addressable ("associative") memory systems with binary threshold nodes. INTRODUCTION Hopfield Model [Recently, there is an increase interest in positioning techniques based on GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) such mathematical Ionospheric and Tropospheric correction models aiming to an improved accuracy of user’s position estimation. DATA AND RESULTS Table 1 gives the tropospheric delays in zenith direction for the above mentioned models at Graz Several global tropospheric models such as the Saastamoinen model, Hopfield model, Niell model etc. have been empirically developed and employed in GPS timing receivers to correct for the tropospheric delay. These models are derived using data from available radiosonde obtained from Europe and North America continents. Eqs. (1) or (2) and so to correct for the tropospheric effect. Detailed knowledge of the profile is seldom available. Any reason-able model can be adjusted to give the proper integral of Eq. (2) at the zenith, but only a model that also gives the correct pro-file shape will give the correct integral of Eq. delays computed by means of the Hopfield model and NBS model for this period are plotted in Figs. 12 and 13.

Conventional models, such as Hopfield or Saastamoinen, which can estimate the tropospheric delay at centimeter to decimeter level using direct meteorological measurements, are not suitable for real-time precise positioning and navi-gation.

The IGS final tropospheric product was used as a reference. The analysis showed that the NOAA model is largely season dependent and its performance was superior to the Hopfield model. We further investigated the effect of implementing the NOAA model on the positioning accuracy, which again behaved better than the Hopfield model.

This can be used for  Satellite measurements match model results apart from in the tropics. There is uncertainty with the tropic data due to how various teams correct for satellite drift. 21 Dec 2020 In a recent groundbreaking paper “Hopfield Networks is All You Need“, Sepp Hochreiter's team introduced a new modern Hopfield network with  22 Oct 2019 Global Atmospheric Circulation Model.

The Trop_NetAdjust method is based upon least-squares prediction criteria and enables the prediction of residual tropospheric delays remaining after a standard tropospheric model has been applied to the raw GPS measurements. A number In order to determine the best-fit standard tropospheric model with the GPS data collected in Thailand, investigations on the impact of different standard tropospheric models on GPS baseline accuracy are therefore needed. This paper aims to compare the GPS positioning results derived from the use of three different standard tropospheric models, namely the Saastamoinen model, Hopfield model and Simplified Hopfield model. Traditional tropospheric delay models such as Hopfield model, Saastamoinen model, and Black model can achieve centimeter‐level accuracy when applying accurate measured meteorological observations (Black, 1978; Hopfield, 1969, 1971; Saastamoinen, 1972).
